"Bellevue Home Mortgage makes the loan process simple, painless, and in my experience is the gold standard in the mortgage industry for customer service. When interest rates dropped in December I first called the bank that owned my mortgage, figuring they would be able to offer the best deal. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes I was given an offer, told I’d have to apply and lock right now, and “might” be able to close in 60 days. If not I’d have to call back, wait on hold, and explain my situation again to whoever answered the phone.

Then I called John. We had a conversation where he listened to what I was trying to accomplish and advised me on loan program options. "Bellevue Home Mortgage has handled 3 mortgage refinances for me. Each time the rate was locked within 24 hours, and the loan closed within 3 weeks. All I had to do was submit or update my financial data, and then show up on the appointed day to sign the papers. My mortgage was transferred to the new lender with no problems or effort on my part; even my insurance company switched to the new lenders seamlessly. It was much easier than I expected the first time, and subsequent times were faster still because Bellevue Mortgage only needed to update my file. One thing I appreciate is that Bellevue Mortgage checks email throughout the day, which means I never had to play phone tag. I refinanced at successively lower rates as they dropped, and at no cost! I researched competitive mortgage rates on the Internet to verify that I got the lowest rate available (one time I found a lower rate and they matched it). "They originally contacted us via a "cold-call form" letter, offering a no-cost refinance of our home mortgage. We had received several letters around that time and were definitely interested in refinancing for a lower interest rate if we could do so for no cost to us. However, when I called other mortgage brokers and loan officers who had sent us letters, they changed their offers from what their "cold-call form" letters had offered - either requiring a large "good faith deposit" which was supposedly refundable at closing, or they were unwilling to speak to me truthfully about what a no-cost refinance loan involved (e.g., a somewhat higher interest rate in exchange for no cost versus a lower interest rate that required us to pay closing costs).
However, Bellevue Home Mortgage was very different from the other mortgage people. They were truthful, patient with my questions, and were true to their "cold-call form" letter in what they could offer us. They were willing to discuss loan options with me and were knowledgeable about various different loans. When we decided to pursue the refinance, they followed through perfectly with every detail, including inspection date, closing date, and our request to pay our own property taxes. They responded to my emails immediately (same day) when I had questions, and they did exactly what they promised us - such a nice surprise from a mortgage loan broker! Working with them was also perfectly convenient - they sent documents to us (always with a prepaid return envelope) for signatures and they came to our house to allow us to sign the final documents without having to disrupt our family's evening schedule. In addition to their outstanding service, convenience, and responsiveness, they saved us a lot of money over four refinances."
"Last Fall, a woman whose daughter is in school with our son, approached me because she had received a "cold call" flyer from a mortgage broker. After a short initial phone conversation with our broker to determine the ideal loan for our situation, we faxed a few documents over to BHM. Our broker took care of all the details. I just had to be home for 30 minutes while we got our house appraised. A couple weeks later, we met for just 30 minutes at their office and signed the closing documents.
